The Strawberry Line Apartment – Spacious Comfort in Historic Wells Located in the heart of Wells, the Strawberry Line Apartment combines modern comfort with historic charm — the perfect base for exploring England’s smallest city and its beautiful surroundings. The apartment features a spacious open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area. The fully equipped kitchen includes an induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, and integrated fridge, along with all necessary utensils and dining sets for up to six guests. The comfortable living area offers a sofa, which can be extended into a double sofa bed, and a 55-inch smart TV — perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The dining area, framed by original iron beams and modern lighting, provides a lovely space to enjoy meals together. Down the hallway, you’ll find two bedrooms and bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet, and hand basin. Both bedrooms feature zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as two singles or combined to form a super-king-size double. Please note: unless requested otherwise, one bedroom will be set up as a super-king and the other as a twin. If you would like a different setup, please inform us at least 48 hours before arrival. Across from the apartment entrance, there is a private utility room for guest use, complete with a washing machine, tumble dryer, large fridge freezer, and an iron and ironing board. The property includes free WiFi throughout and private parking for one car. Sofa Bed: The sofa bed will be prepared only for bookings of 5–6 guests. For groups of 4 guests or fewer, there is an additional charge if you would like it set up in advance, as extra bedding is treated as an additional guest. Please contact us to arrange this. Comfortable and well equipped flat for short break. Positive: Comfortable and well equipped. Good beds. Host was very helpful providing info and answering questions. Negative: Would have appreciated top sheets on the beds as it was hot with heavy duvets. Nice to add a cafetiere to the kitchen. The fire alarm went off in the next flat and we had to evacuate - it was activated from cooking smoke! But appreciate the safety first approach and the overnight vet did a good job sorting it out.

Comfortable property 10 mins from historic centre Positive: A nicely decorated and comfortable home in a quirky building with everything we needed for the weekend. It was great to have parking and just a 10 minute walk to the market square etc. Negative: The location was convenient but is a less scenic area. The lounge has a fabulous window & skylight but is bathed in light from sunrise so anyone using the sofa bed will wake early.

Pleasant comfortable place to stay. Positive: Comfortable living room and kitchen. All rooms clean. Two bedrooms wonderful as traveled with teenagers. Had washer dryer that was easy to get to. Fans for cooling. Thankful for railing on the stairs. Negative: I fractured my ankle earlier in the trip and was leery of the shower. It would have been great to have a mat to stand on.

Convenient apartment a short walk from the centre of Wells Positive: Attractive apartment, which was well equipped. Beds were comfortable and it was an easy walk into the historic centre. Supermarket close by for stocking up with food. Free parking outside the vets practice was a plus. Negative: Unfortunately the bathroom extractor fan did not appear to work and the iron was scorched, so we were wary of using it on our wedding outfits. It was impossible to obtain any flow of air around the flat to mitigate the extreme heat, even with the fans provided. Cobwebs not cleared from admittedly hard to reach places, though elsewhere was spotless.

Great weekend apartment for exploring the city Positive: Easy to access both the parking and the apartment. Very cosy with all necessary amenities for a comfortable weekend stay. Great hot shower and comfortable beds. Excellent location for exploring Wells. Communication was always clear and responses were prompt. Negative: The bathroom had some signs of wear and tear, but was perfectly usable and clean. Some light noise from the road.

Positive: The location was perfect - only about 10 minutes walk into the centre of Wells. The heating was easy to work and once warmed up, we could turn it off and the heat was retained in the walls. All in all, a well equipped property, comfortable and with extra little touches such as a box of herb teas. Negative: There was nothing to dislike.

Positive: The architecture - the apartment is in the former engine shed of the old Wells-Tucker Street train station, some elements of its industrial past have been maintained Location: just at the entrance to the centre of Wells (5 min walk to St Cuthbert's, 10 min to the Market Square and the entrance to the cathedral complex, 2 min to local convenience store an 5 min to large supermarket) Parking - free and always available, this is a real bonus for Wells Host communicated well with all necessary instructions prior to arrival Negative: Bathroom: great shower but VERY bright light and could do with an extra shelve for washbags etc...
